I am not new to reborning & am an experienced reborn artist who has been making babies for a while now, but due to other commitments I have unable to reborn a baby as often as I like. Being away has given me time to learn & experiment with new improved techniques to produce a heirloom quality baby.

My name is Namreen and I am a qualified Beauty Therapist specialising in Anti- Ageing beauty & am also a professionally trained MAC PRO make up artist/member & am also the artist behind Cleopatra Babies.

I also specialise in Make-up Artistry for weddings & special occasions including Asian Bridal and Ethnic make up so have had the artistic creative flair installed permanently in my brain & always have an urge to design & create something new & unique.

I am a Perfectionist by nature & this trait influences all my skills, work ethic & integrity, effecting the appearance of my artistic abilities making sure everything I attatch my name to is 'perfect' ~
I am my greatest critique & give more than 100% to attain a very high standard in all my artistic talents : Reborning, Make Up Artistry & Specialist Beauty Treatments.

My Philosophy is to continue to craft babies of beauty & quality for the few collectors with a true appreciation for a truly handmade sophisticated baby.

Dedicated to mantaining the utmost character & individuality of each baby, I only choose to produce just a limited number of dolls, there is no compromising.

Made using a harmony of creativity, passion, dedication & experience each baby is meticulously handcrafted with the hard graft ritual of yesteryears using carefully preserved artisitc techniques to create something unique & extraordinary.

My commitment to perfection is yours forever keep in the form of a Cleopatra Baby.

With each baby I reborn I discover something new & am always experimenting with new & improved techniques, I still have alot to learn & a long way to go with this artform ,reborning has excelled beyond
expectations and will continue to do so as long as dedicated artists are committed to it & continue to make life like quality babies which are out of this world & not forgetting the wonderful collectors out there who truly appreciate these collectible babies.

I have 3 wonderful sons who keep me my on my toes & am happily married to my best friend in the whole world who I can trust with my life ~ My dear husband who has never let me down.

I have loved dolls with a passion since I was very young, my parents could not afford to buy us many toys or dolls,I just had one Sindy doll & a Tiny Tears baby doll throughout my childhood & developed a fixation with them, loving & caring for them like little girls do ! grateful for what I had.

As I got older started to collect proper Artist dolls until I discovered Reborns & decided to have a go myself, after practising techniques on real dolls I was finally confident with the results & started to create my own babies opening a new void for me to express my love for babies & artistic flair in this great art form.

Reborn babies are a joy to make & very theraputic & I always encourage people to have a go, you will love it & get addicted ~ trust me.

You can learn more about my reborning below.

Thankyou for visiting my webpage & take care all.

Cleopatra Babies Nursery officialy began Early January 2004.

Each reborn creation is a new life created with the love of art & realism ~ a new human being who has been given its first breath of life with love & true passion to bring to you, your very own, one of a kind real to life 3 dimensional heirloom newborn baby.

One of my deepest passions is reborning realisitic One of a kind newborn babies. Babies are a gift from God & capturing the realism of these adorable, magical precious creatures is my mission.

Bringing each baby to life is my aim for you to have your own special baby to love & cherish forever.

Each reborn artist works on each baby like a blank canvas & develop their own signature & trademark techniques ~ all babies are reborn, handpainted & handrooted different by each artist & should be handled with care & treated like a real baby & therefore adopted only by adults.

Made with the highest quality permanent products & with perfection in
mind. Many hours have been spent on each precious bundle
to give it a realistic look.

These are one of a kind babies & will not be made again exactly.

Each baby have a special one of a kind skin tone colouring, facial colouring & directional micro rooted hair using Angora Yearling mohair ~ Each hair colour &
style is especially tailored for every individual baby, so no
baby will ever be 100% the same as the other & cannot be replicated to look exactly the same in all ways, They all have a different genetic footprint & no mummy will have the same baby.

Cleopatra Babies look like real replica cloned babies. Only to be seen by the naked eye to truly see the level of realism.

Each baby has a varied hair colour which is micro rooted to replicate babies of different ages & hair genetics, some babies are born with a head full of hair, some babies have a sprase downy growth which can be replicated with ultra fine micro-rooting. I look at the mould & decide which will suit the face better, whatever rooting pattern is decided I ensure the hair looks right with the face.

All babies are highlighted in all the necessary places & are given a light peaches & cream complextion which gives it distinctive clarity, mottled in areas with patchy & blotchy skin effects on the surface to look visibly like a real baby with very natural veining, hues & undertones & natural imperfections which real babies come with, like Birthmarks - ranging from temporary off-coloured patches to permanent splotches -- are common. About half of all babies are born with milia, white dots on their faces that look like tiny pimples.

The limbs also have intense detailed pigment paintwork like the body parts replicated to look like an early baby with ruddish/yellowy dry patchy mottled/freckled skin tones.

Below is an overview of the kind of detail your baby may have on their skin ~

Skin: Babies who are born after their due date may have a large amount of skin peeling. This is normal. Peeling does not mean that your baby's skin is too dry. Baby's skin may be pink, yellowish, or tan. It may look blotchy or marbled when your baby is upset or cold. At birth or during his first few months, your baby may have one or more of the following:

Erythema (er-ih-THEE-mah) toxicum (TOKS-ih-kum): These are red splotches with yellow-white bumps in the center that look like bug bites. They may appear anywhere on your baby's body except the soles of the feet and palms of the hands. The rash may appear within three days after birth. No treatment is needed for the rash. It usually goes away in one or two weeks.

Milia: These are small white or yellow bumps that appear on the faces of most newborns. Blocked skin pores cause milia (MIL-ee-ah). Many milia may break out across your baby's nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead. Do not squeeze or scrub milia. Rubbing creams or ointments on milia may make them worse. When your baby is one to two months old, his skin pores begin to naturally open. When this happens, his milia will go away.

Newborn acne: Some babies get newborn acne (AK-nee) when they are three to five weeks old. Your baby's cheeks may feel rough and may be covered with a red, oily rash. Wash your baby's face with warm water. Do not use baby oil, creams, ointments, or other products. These will only make this rash worse. Keep your baby's fingernails short to keep him from scratching his cheeks. No special treatment will clear up newborn acne. Like milia, newborn acne should go away once your baby's skin pores begin to naturally open.

Scrapes or bruises: Going through the birth process can cause your baby to have scrapes and bruises. If forceps were used to deliver your baby, they may leave marks on his face or head. Your baby may have bumps and bruises from going through the birth canal without forceps. A fetal monitor may also have left marks on your baby's scalp. Scrapes and bruises should be gone within two weeks. Lumps and bumps, especially from forceps, may take up to two months to go away.

Birthmarks: It is common for babies' skin to have birthmarks. Birthmarks come in different sizes, shapes, and colors. Some birthmarks shrink or fade with time. Other birthmarks may stay on your baby's skin for his entire life.

Café au lait spots: These are flat skin patches that are a light brown or tan color. Café au lait (kaf-ay-o-LAY) spots look like small puddles of coffee and cream. This is a common birthmark that babies may get anywhere on the body. The spots may get smaller as your baby grows. Ask your baby's caregiver to check these spots during each visit.

Moles: Moles are also called nevi (NEEV-eye). Moles are dark-brown or black. They may be on your baby's skin when he is born, or may form later. Most moles are harmless and do not need to be removed. Ask your baby's caregiver to check these spots during each visit.

Mongolian spots: These spots are commonly seen on the buttocks (rear end), backs, or legs of dark-skinned babies. Mongolian (mon-GO-lee-un) spots may be green, blue, or gray colored, and may look like bruises. Mongolian spots are harmless, and usually go away by the time your child is school-aged.

Port wine stain: These are large, flat birthmarks that are pink, red, or purple colored. A port wine stain is caused by too many blood vessels under the skin. A port wine stain may fade in time, but will not go away without surgery. Ask your baby's caregiver to check these spots during each visit.

Stork bite: A stork bite is a common birthmark, especially on light-skinned babies. It is also called a "salmon patch". Stork bites are flat, irregular patches that may be light or dark pink. Stork bites can usually be seen on the eyelids, lower forehead, or bridge (top) of a baby's nose. They may also be found on the back of a baby's head or neck. Most stork bites fade and go away by your baby's first birthday. Even after your baby's stork bites fade, they may darken for a short time when he cries or strains.

Strawberry hemangioma (he-man-jee-OH-mah): This is a rough, raised, red spot caused by many blood vessels at top of the skin. Right after birth, the spot may be pale or white, and may turn red later. These spots may get larger during the first months of a baby's life, then shrink and go away. A strawberry spot may sometimes bleed on its own or because of a scratch or bump.

Newborn skin varies in appearance according to how many weeks pregnant you were when your baby was born. Premature babies have thin, transparent-looking skin and may be covered with lanugo, a fine, downy hair. Babies born prematurely will also still be covered with vernix, a greasy white substance that protects his skin from the amniotic fluid. Full-term and late babies will have only a few traces of vernix in the folds of their skin. Late babies may also have a slightly wrinkly appearance and very little, if any, lanugo.

With my babies I try to create the visual skin imagery effect of a 3 dimensional real baby sculpture, you cannot tell the medium beneath the cured paints is actually a form of vinyl unless you touch it, it looks like an expensive one of a kind original polymer clay newborn baby sculpture which do sell for thousands of pounds by top doll artists.

This process of skin layering takes many weeks to create & each layer is cured permanently to prevent rubbing off. As each layer is carefully applied the baby is evolving into life before your very eyes.

The lips are handpainted with a natural mottled colour effect to blend with the complections & then sealed.

All colours used are Genesis artist paints which have been sealed to stay permanent.

I try not use pictures to influence my creative side, instead I create a fantasy real to life baby image in my head & work from my imagination, studying babies in real life & experience with my own babies to morph each baby stage by stage with my own artistic trademark.

If I allow external images into my thoughts my work will be biased & not my own. I like the thought of creating a very unique realisitic dream baby.

Cleopatra Babies are proud members of these prestigious Artist Guilds. GERBA

GERBA (Guild of Exceptional Reborn Baby Artistry) has been created to celebrate and support the talents of Reborn Artists in Europe. Each of our members has been selected for their Outstanding dedication to excellence, their highly regarded creative innovation and perfection in the art of reborning, and their exceptional level of customer care. Adopting a GERBA Baby will ensure your complete satisfaction and a doll of truly heirloom quality.

MAMRH (Mad About Micro-Rooted Hair) is a subsidiary of the GERBA guild. We are a group of dedicated Reborn Artists who are keen to bring greater attention to the very special technique known as "micro-rooted" hair.
As lovers of this technique, members of MAMRH are committed to bringing you the most realistic baby hair possible on a doll. Micro-rooted hair is achieved by using very fine needles to implant genuine, premium mohair directly into a doll's scalp, following the natural growth patterns of real baby hair. By the time a head of hair is finished, thousands of individual hair follicles have been implanted, each one by hand. Understandably, "micro-rooting" is a painstaking process, taking many, many hours to achieve, and as such, is a true luxury.
As well as looking incredibly realistic, micro-rooted hair is very versatile enabling numerous styling options. A micro-rooted baby's head can be gently washed, combed, and brushed to suit all your styling needs. And best of all, when done correctly, it is strong and durable ensuring a doll of heirloom quality.
